The epitome of unbridled ambition and destructive force of authority, Logan Roy is a man whose deceptive methods, emotional and psychological abuse, and unrelenting quest for power highlight his desire for maintaining power. He uses relationships as instruments to uphold his family empire and vulnerability as failure. The irony is that he alienates the same individuals who are supposed to continue his legacy in an attempt to ensure its permanence. His real evil lies in the emotional vacuum he creates. His story shows that power without empathy leads to destruction, not strength.
